In this study, we investigated the possibility of CO2 reduction and methanation on the surface of piezoelectric materials at low temperatures by utilizing the piezoelectric effect. Compositional analysis of gases in a pot of BaTiO3 powder ball milled (BM) in H2 and CO2 atmosphere, CH4 formation was confirmed, and a BM time dependence of the amount of CH4 formation was observed.
