Liquid metal droplets in electrolytes have potential applications in MEMS actuators. However, methods to precisely control their motion are still under investigation. We investigated the movement characteristics of Gallinstan droplets in a flow channel when an AC pulse waveform was applied to the droplets and the effect of changing the duty ratio of the pulse wave on droplet transport. By using AC pulse waves, we succeeded in reducing the voltage of liquid metal droplet transport and achieving smooth liquid metal droplet transport by using AC pulse waves.
