The University of Electro-Communications, Kanazawa Institute of Technology, Nagoya Institute of Technology, and Waseda University are jointly developing RF energy harvesting technology (RFEH technology) that obtains DC power from RF signals propagating in the air as part of JST/CREST commissioned research and its application technology. In this paper, we will provide an overview of RF energy harvesting technology (EH technology) and the characteristics of Card Case Size EH Beat Sensor with LoRa (CCS EHBS LoRa) that operates with EH as an example of application technology. The Ω antenna and a power supply circuits for EH will be presented in detail.
