We have developed a smart sensing system that collects a sufficient amount of information for IoT applications using a minute amount of energy from energy harvesting. After extracting feature values by coupled analysis of data collected by multiple types of sensors, the system measures and transmits only the feature values by dynamically adjusting the measurement parameters. This has enabled real-time wireless monitoring of facility operating conditions with a measurement cycle of approximately 0.3 times/sec, operating of approximately 800 µW by energy harvesting.
