Europium is one of the elements that have been widely investigated as luminescent centers of phosphors. It can be in the divalent and trivalent states in the host crystals. Therefore, a machine learning model was constructed to predict the valence of europium in the host crystals and used to search for new Eu²⁺-activated phosphors.
