Two-step photon up-conversion solar cells showed photocurrent enhancement as well as photovoltage. The solar cells are based on III-V semiconductors. The two-step photoexcitation occurs at the heterointerface of the III-V semiconductors. In this work, we study nonlinear photoexcitation of MAPbBr3 deposited on GaAs. The below-bandgap excitation power-dependent photoluminescence data was fitted by simple power functions aiming to estimate the exponent. The exponent of 3.54 suggests that 4 photons are absorbed and contribute to green PL emission associated with MAPbBr3. Such a high exponent value suggests the two-step photoexcitation at the heterointerface rather than the multiphoton absorption in MAPbBr3.
