Aerosol pH is thought to be an important factor in the inactivation of airborne viruses, but has not been well studied. The pH changing behavior in a single aerosol droplet containing acids and bases was investigated using laser trapping - microspectroscopy technique, and the pH change behavior of single aerosol particles was elucidated.
