In phase-type hologram, phase optimization process is essential to generate desirable wavefronts. In the preceding methods, it is, however, difficult to apply the optimization into the reconstruction of 3D objects. We performed the phase optimization process with respect to the Fourier spectrum of the 3D objects in the diffraction calculation based on the 3D Fourier transform. This approach enabled the phase optimization for the 3D reconstruction.
