We have demonstrated that even with luminescent materials such as organic light-emitting devices that have broad emission linewidths, emission control based on enhanced radiation directionality and narrowband emission is possible by using photonic crystal nanoresonators [1]. In this case, the results were obtained using hollow slab-type photonic crystal resonators, but for future applications in light sources, it is desirable to form the resonators on low refractive index substrates, flatten the surface, and create a stacked structure [2]. In this study, we experimentally confirmed that emission control using nanoresonators is possible even with such a structure, and quantitatively evaluated the effect of the vertical position of the emission layer, and report our findings.
