[24p-11F-5]Linear and nonliear optics asymmetric Au nanorod dimer structure

We report on linear and nonlinear optical behavior of an asymmetric Au nanorod (AuNR) dimer structure in which two differently sized AuNR are arranged in parallel. The SHG conversion efficiently of the dimer was twice that of reference monomer due to the broken centrosymmetry caused by the dimerization of two AuNRs. We will also report on the mechanism of the near-field creating the nonlinear polarizations at the nanoscale using the map of the calculated near-field disributions.
