Nanoporous ceramics thin film, which combines both porosity-derived properties (e.g., high surface area, large pore volume, introduction of crystal lattice distortion) and physical properties inherent in the framework, is promising for various practical applications. If the target physical property has anisotropy, realization of a pseudo-single-crystal framework is indispensable to make maximum use of the film’s ability. In this study, the nanoporous ceramics thin films with a pseudo-single-crystal framework was fabricated by utilizing a liquid phase epitaxial growth.
