Keywords:
nanorods,thermoelectric conversion
In thermoelectric conversion technology, which generates electricity from temperature differences, the challenge is to improve the performance of thermal materials. The methods for improving performance include increasing Seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity, and decreasing thermal conductivity.
In this study, Te nanorods were prepared by solvothermal synthesis with and without electroless Pd plating. Plating increased the electrical conductivity and decreased the thermal conductivity due to phonon scattering.
