A metal-insulator-metal metamaterial absorber with a porous polyimide film as an insulating layer was designed and fabricated to develop a terahertz wave device with high Q factor for applications for high-sensitivity biological gas sensors, and the spectroscopy spectrum was evaluated. The device could achieve higher Q factor than those in previous studies.
