In this study, we propose a new optical frequency measurement method, pseudo-vernier method, using a single optical frequency comb. This method involves measuring the mode intervals when the laser under test is phase-locked to the N-th, (N-1)th, (N-k2)th, (N-k3)th, etc., modes of the optical frequency comb. By successively increasing the difference in mode numbers, ki, it is possible to accurately determine the difference in mode numbers, and consequently derive the precise value of N. As a result, we were able to determine the optical frequency of the measured laser with an accuracy of 12 digits.
