Understanding the bending behavior of polymer films is essential for the development of flexible devices. However, the correlation between surface bending strain and the higher-order structure of polymers remains unclear. In previous work, we developed a method enabling to measure bending strain in polymer films quantitatively. In this study, we analyzed the correlation between the strain and polymer main chain behavior in bending polymer films by utilizing the developed and photoelastic methods.
