In order to develop a physical reservoir (PR) device using photochemical reactions, we investigated the characteristics of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), and confirmed the "short-term memory property," which is an important property for physical reservoirs, from the changes in the voltage at both ends of the resistor connected to the DSSC when the DSSC is irradiated with visible light. In addition, we confirmed that the DSSC can discriminate 4-bit optical input with 1 when irradiated with light and 0 when not irradiated, and showed that the DSSC can be introduced as a PR device.
