Effects of oxide interlayer on magnetic properties were investigated in CoPt/Ag stacked films. The perpendicular magnetic properties were improved by inserting an Al-doped ZnO layer into the interface. In contrast, a SiO2 interlayer deteriorated the magnetic properties. These oxide interlayers produced the magnetic dead layer at the CoPt interface. XMCD measurements indicated no significant difference in the angular dependence of the magnetic moments.
