Nanodiamonds (NDs) with nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers are suitable for intracellular versatile sensing. So far, the sensitivity of the AC magnetic field using a single NV center in a single ND was reported as several hundred nT/Hz1/2. However, the magnetic field change inside a cell is typically equal to or lower than nT. Hence, higher sensitivity is required to measure such weak changes at the local position of the cell. In this study, we challenge to achieve high AC sensitivity using NV centers in the synthesized NDs.
