[25p-11E-1]A study on slab waveguide using metal-filled topological photonic crystals

In this study, we investigated the characteristics of topological photonic crystal slab waveguide (TPC-SWG) if all triangular air holes are filled with an ideal metal. The investigation was conducted by simulating the transmission characteristics of a straight line shape of (TPC-SWG) and the electric field strength distribution.The method used to simulate for this study is by simulation using Finite Element Method (FEM). As a result, we show that it is possible to construct a waveguide with a topological edge propagation state even if all triangular air holes is filled with an ideal metal.
