The phenomenon of stimulated emission in fluorophores can be triggered by simultaneously exposing them to high-intensity light at the same wavelength as the fluorescence during excitation. This stimulated emission effect has found practical application in fluorescence microscopy, specifically in Stimulated Emission Depletion (STED) microscopy, enabling spatial resolution beyond the diffraction limit defined by Abbe's law. In our study, we explored the feasibility of implementing the STED method using the strong luminescence of Eu:GGG in the soft X-ray region. We exposed the fluorophore Eu:GGG, excited by soft X-rays, to laser light matching the luminescence wavelength of Eu3+, simultaneously examining changes in luminescence intensity. The presentation will delve into the dependence of luminescence intensity on excitation photon energy.
