The new curriculum guidelines for junior high school science class, which will be fully implemented in 2021, include a new section on the properties and uses of radiation in relation to vacuum discharges. This unit is taught in the second grade, and all students will learn about radiation and its applications, which is a significant milestone. This article discusses the role of activities to disseminate radiation knowledge at this turning point in the history of radiation education.
