Based on innovation diffusion theory, one of the major theories in innovation management, this study focuses on the gradual transition in the cumulative number of papers seen before the occurrence of breakthrough research, and attempts to identify the timing of the occurrence of breakthrough research by driving a formula that describes it as a state with low diffusion power. We then analyze the bibliographic information of the papers and chronologically observe the co-occurrence of keywords that paper before the occurrence of the breakthrough research, and based on Structural Hall Theory, we aim to elucidate the mechanism of the occurrence of the breakthrough research.
