We propose a spectral phase estimation method using optical parametric amplification and report its demonstration. This method can estimate the spectral phase of low power light such as quantum light by using optical parametric amplification of optical pulse to be measured. The optical parametric amplification pump light is phase-controlled instead of the optical delay system commonly used in FROG (Frequency-resolved optical gating), and the spectral phase can be measured with a stable and compact measurement system.
