[10a-N221-5]Fabrication and Evaluation of a Metal-Loaded Si Waveguide for Generating OAM Light

OAM light can be realized by appropriately optimizing non-Hermitian systems that break mirror symmetry. We have previously investigated OAM generation via complex perturbations, including devices based on GaN hollow nanowires[1] coupled with metallic structures [2], and systems incorporating scattering loss through engineered hole geometries [3]. Additionally, we have performed structural optimization using Si rectangular waveguides [4]. In this study, we fabricated the optimized structure and successfully observed interference patterns characteristic of OAM.
