This study introduces and validates the maximum flow problem to analyze the inhomogeneous critical current (Ic) distribution in superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-y thin films. A sample with a network structure was prepared, and Ic was measured by cutting off a part of the pathway, the results were compared with calculations using the maximum flow and showed a high agreement between the two, indicating that this method is useful for realistic Ic analysis.
