[10p-N201-6]P-type thermoelectric properties of half-Heusler alloy (Ti, Zr, Hf)Ni0.92Co0.05Sn

TiNiSn is a candidate for practical thermoelectric material due to its low toxicity and favorable mechanical properties. However, its P-type thermoelectric properties have not been fully explored. In our previous study, we investigated the dimensionless figure of merit (ZT) of TiNi0.92Co0.05Sn by optimizing the carrier concentration through Co substitution at Ni site and reducing the Ni content. In this study, to reduce lattice thermal conductivity, (Ti, Zr, Hf)Ni0.92Co0.05Sn alloys were prepared by arc melting and heat treatment, where Zr or Hf partially substituted Ti. The thermoelectric properties and ZT values were then evaluated.
