‘Plasma Indicator’ is a plasma evaluation tool that shows a change in color upon detecting radicals or ions in plasma. Conventional indicators for atmospheric pressure plasma respond primarily to oxygen-based radicals and ozone; however, they exhibit limited color change with certain plasma devices. To address this issue, a novel indicator incorporating a new color-changing material that reacts with active species in atmospheric pressure plasma other than ozone has been developed, resulting in a significantly enhanced discoloration response compared to existing products. In this presentation, an analysis of the discoloration behavior is also discussed.
