Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanosheets are synthesized using green tea (GT) extract as surfactant via a green liquid-phase exfoliation method (LPE). These nanosheets act as efficient FRET donors to Rhodamine 6G (R6G) dye, as shown by the decrease in MoS2 emission and enhanced R6G fluorescence with higher dye concentrations. Analysis of spectral overlap and Förster distance supports the energy transfer mechanism. This system offers significant potential for sustainable optical sensing and photonic applications.
