Kaneka is advancing the development of perovskite/silicon tandem solar cell technology based on heterojunction crystalline silicon solar cells. A conversion efficiency of 32.6% has been achieved in small-sized cells, which was measured by a third-party organization. In module development, in-house measurements have confirmed that the power output of the perovskite/Si tandem module exceeds that of our roof-tile-integrated crystalline silicon solar module by more than 1.2 times.
In this presentation, we will report our recent progress in cell and module design, including application examples involving a 3D curved module. We will also discuss the remaining challenges toward practical implementation and commercialization.
