This study explores the intensity patterns of three basic optical skyrmions at the focal plane of a high-numerical-aperture (0.95) optical lens system. In the high numerical aperture optical system, Richards-Wolf vector diffraction integral theory is used instead of scalar-diffraction theory to calculate the field distributions. The spatial intensity distributions for the tightly focused first-order optical skyrmions: (a) Néel-type, (b) Bloch-type, and (c) Anti-type are investigated in this work. This study may find significant interest for the exploration of three-dimensional optical manipulation as well as the advancement of three-dimensional super-resolution microscopy techniques.
