Keywords:

n-type organic semiconductor,single-crystal transistor,partially dressed polaron

Single-crytal n-type organic semiconcductors revealed anisotropic electron mobilities by transistor evaluation, which was inconsistent with isotropic effective masses and mobilities expected by the crystal structure and conventional band calculation. On the other hand, the partially dressed polaron model recently proposed demonstrated the anisotropic features comparable to the experimental results. Based on these results, the electron-transport mechanisms and molecular desing for high-mobility n-type organic semiconductors will be discussed.
