In recent years, spatiotemporal control of protein synthesis by light irradiation has attracted attention in the medical field. However, conventional methods have issues with the effects on biological functions associated with compound introduction and photoexcitation, as well as the time and cost required for molecular modification. In this study, we focus on the fact that mid-infrared light can directly excite molecular vibrations and causes little damage to biomolecules, and develop a label-free protein synthesis control method using a mid-infrared pulse laser.
