In recent years, neuromorphic devices that mimic brain functions have attracted attention, and photonic synapse devices inspired by the visual system are expected to be applied to image processing. In this study, we propose a novel material composed of proton-incorporated poly heptazine imide (HPHI) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). Upon light irradiation, HPHI exhibits localized resistance reduction, and due to persistent photoconductivity (PPC), the state is retained even after irradiation stops. We discuss whether this system possesses functions such as LTM, STM, EPSC, and PPF, as well as its reusability.
