Molecular spintronics has attracted much attention due to long spin-relaxation times in devices. Recently, we have observed a positive MR effect in molecular nanodevices using magnetic thin-film edges. Here, toward the creation of novel molecular nanodevices, we focus on Co electrodes as magnetic layers and fullerene (C60) as a molecular layer. Previous studies have demonstrated a high spin polarization at the interface between Co and C60, which is attractive for the application of MR devices. In this study, we fabricate Co electrodes for molecular nanodevices, and investigate their structural, electrical, and magnetic properties. As a result, we conclude that the Co electrodes can be used in Co/C60/Co nanodevices. The detailed measurement results will be presented in the poster session.
