Organic single crystals composed of π-conjugated molecules are favourable as components of optical logic circuits created by self-assembly. In this work, we desinged a partially fluorinated π-conjugated molecule, and we obtained three polymorphs due to the multiple hydrogen bonding between fluorine atoms and hydrogen atoms in aromatic rings. Furthermore, we discovered specific photonic function for each polymorph. Thus, we achieved multi-functional photonics based on the polymorphism.
