We are conducting research on a exploratory device that amplifies light emission intensity using a whispering gallery mode (WGM) resonator with organic thin films. In cases where light emission amplification is realized using a WGM resonator, the energy threshold tends to be higher than that of a conventional slab-type waveguide. To investigate the origin of this trend, we formulated the energy threshold for light emission amplification in WGM resonators.
