In recent years, heat flux sensors based on the anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) have attracted attention from the perspective of elemental technologies for waste heat management societies, and ANE has been widely studied in various crystalline materials. However, there are few reports on ANE in amorphous materials, and it remains unclear to what extent physical property control (such as control of the anomalous Nernst coefficient or thermal conductivity) is possible. In this study, we report on the results of physical property control achieved by doping Gd into a Co-Pt alloy that exhibits a large ANE.
