organic monolayer
Thin gold films were deposited on SiO2 using an organic monolayer as an adhesion layer, and their crystallinity and thermal stability were evaluated. XRD analysis revealed improved crystallinity upon heating, with notable changes observed around 150°C. Above 300°C, polygonal holes formed in the Au film, suggesting that the structure reflects the threefold symmetry of the Au(111) plane.
