superconductivity
RE124 does not change its superconducting properties with oxygen content and is always orthorhombic; Y124 exhibits Tc = 80 K, which can be improved to Tc = 90 K by Ca doping. However, there have been few development and application efforts for RE124 polycrystalline materials because no effective method has been established to improve the critical current properties of RE124 polycrystalline materials, although the formation of a densely oriented crystal structure is not possible. In this study, we attempted to fabricate epitaxial thin films and c-axis oriented sintered samples of RE124 in order to evaluate the anisotropic properties of RE124.
