The operating bandwidth limitation of optical elements poses a challenge for generating terahertz vortex beams. When linearly polarized terahertz wave is focused and incident on a three-dimensional metallic cross structure, the apparent chirality varies continuously with the direction of the oblique incidence component. In crossed Nicols arrangements, the Pancharatnam・Berry (PB) phase difference is expected to generate frequency-independent vortex beams. In this study, we report the results of phase and intensity distribution measurements in crossed Nicols arrangements.
