[8a-P04-4]High-Efficiency Device Structure of n-type InP/Electro-Optic Polymer Hybrid Optical Modulator

In this study, we evaluated the light loss and electric field strength of a waveguide combining a n-type InP/EO polymer optical modulator using ladder electrodes and a photonic crystal (PC) structure. It was shown that by applying the PC structure, an increase in the electric field strength in the slot region due to the light confinement effect and the suppression of light loss by the metal electrodes were achieved.
