Ultraminiature devices, on the order of cm3 or mm3, are expected to be applied in areas such as IoT edge devices that informatize physical objects, and bio-implantable devices. However, ultraminiature devices face severe restrictions in terms of power supply, limiting their operation to specific environments. Therefore, we have been designing an optical energy harvesting circuit that can autonomously power ultraminiature devices over a wide enviroenment. This report details our investigation into a mechanism that introduces a power storage element into this circuit, enabling operation during periods when light is unavailable.
