We present a compact RISC-V–based digital platform prototype designed for optically powered IoT and bioelectronics. The prototype integrates a custom RISC-V CPU, a PIC microcontroller for programming and alternate clock, an optical power (OP POW) unit, and a supercapacitor (SCAP) to simulate unstable power operation. This setup enables experimentation with intermittent operation, temporary program loading without nonvolatile memory, and system testing under fluctuating power. Tests revealed reliable operation under synchronized clocking, while programming failed under unstable clock due to UART sensitivity.
