We have developed a technique that enables measurements of photo-induced dynamics over a temporal window spanning from picoseconds to microseconds by performing asynchronous optical sampling with a highly frequency-synchronized regenerative amplifier and an optical frequency comb. Using this method, we successfully observed the propagation of photo-excited magnons and phonons in a Bi-YIG single crystal. During the presentation, we will also talk about two-dimensional imaging results of magnon and phonon propagation.
