This study aimed to shorten the etching time of PADC used as an educational tool for radiation by improving its solubility through annealing treatment. After α-ray irradiation from 241Am, PADC samples were annealed at 130–150°C for 30 to 90 minutes and etched in 30% sodium hydroxide solution for 10 minutes. Results showed that increasing the annealing temperature enlarged the etch pit diameter, indicating improved solubility, but also reduced track clarity. Therefore, optimizing etching conditions according to annealing is necessary.
