We have been at the forefront of "polycrystalline informatics" using silicon as a model to establish universal guidelines for enhancing the performance of polycrystalline materials. Our research integrates experimental, theoretical, computational, and data science approaches, which have advanced our understanding of the physical phenomena in complex polycrystals. Recently, we have begun utilizing generative AI for the inverse design of polycrystalline microstructures and are expanding into data-driven material design. In this talk, I will present our research findings and discuss future prospects.
