Time-varying metamaterials where the refractive index is controlled in the time domain are attracting attention. We have fabricated a metamaterial with time-controlled permeability of a magnetic material and successfully observed frequency conversion of carrier microwaves at the modulation frequency of permeability. In this talk, we report frequency conversion results under special conditions where the modulation frequency is sufficiently higher than the carrier frequency.
