We report the observation of terahertz (THz) harmonic generation from trilayer MoS2 using a THz free-electron laser. Under 2.9 THz excitation, third and fifth harmonics were detected at 8.6 THz and 14.3 THz, respectively. The harmonic intensities showed cubic and quintic dependence on the pump energy, with a third harmonic conversion efficiency of 4×10-6—comparable to graphene. Unlike graphene, MoS2 maintains high efficiency under strong fields, making it a promising material for nonlinear THz applications.
