The Josephson Plasma Emitter (JPE), a terahertz source utilizing cuprate high-temperature superconductors, faces the challenge of low emission power. In this study, we developed a method to simulate the electromagnetic response of the JPE and used numerical calculations to find the optimal structure that maximizes emission power. Based on this optimal design, we fabricated and measured a device, then compared the experimental and calculated results for evaluation. This approach provides a systematic design guideline for achieving high-power JPEs exceeding the 1 mW level.
