In this study, we constructed a coupled electrostatic–circuit simulation model for a contact–separation type triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) using COMSOL Multiphysics®. This model enables simultaneous analysis of internal electric field dynamics and external circuit responses, with flexible control over motion functions and load resistance. It allows for visualization of output characteristics and internal behavior, contributing to a more precise understanding of the TENG mechanism and optimization of its design.
